We are seeing another round of hoax emails in circulation claiming to be a valid message from our Support Department. So far, the email addresses are support@netcom.co.uk and lotterynotice@wowway.com. These emails do not originate from Net Communications (www.netcom.co.uk) and should be deleted. The email addresses are being faked. Net Communications do not and never will request your account access details via email. The emails have similar subject lines: webmail.netcom.co.uk and the body of the messages are in the following format: "Dear webmail.netcom.co.uk Subscriber, This message is from netcom.co.uk messaging center to all netcom.co.uk email account owners. On Tues, July 1th, 2008, from 7:00 AM until9:00 AM, all Mailhub systems will undergo regularly scheduled maintenance. Access to your e-mail via the mail client will be unavailable for some time during this maintenance window. We are currently upgrading our data base and e-mail account center see homepage. We are deleting all netcom.co.uk email account to create more space for ne w accounts. To complete your netcom.co.uk Webmail account, you must reply to this email immediately and enter your password here (********) Failure to do this will immediately render your email address here(**********)deactivated from our database.You can also confirm your email address by logging into your netcom.co.uk account at webmail.netcom.co.uk Thank you for using THE netcom.co.uk TEAM" or: Confirm Your Email Address "Dear Netcom.Co.Uk Subscriber, To complete your Netcom.Co.Uk account, you must reply to this email immediately and enter your password here (*********) if you are the right full owner of this account, and help us to fight spam mails. Failure to do this will immediately render your email address in-active from our database. You can also confirm your email address by logging into your Netcom.Co.Uk account at: http://webmail.netcom.co.uk/horde/imp/ NOTE: You are advice to change your password in the next 7 working days after undergoing this process for sercurity reasons. Thank you for using Netcom.Co.Uk! THE NETCOM CO UK TEAM." If you receive email similar to these, ignore and delete them.
